What types of dogs do you accept?

We accept most every dog, separating them by temperament, size, and play style to keep things fun and safe. While we can work with dogs that need to go out alone, we cannot accept dogs that are a danger to our staff.

What's included in daycare and boarding?

Group play 4+ times daily, outdoor time, meals, medication administration, and one-on-one time come standard, and each tier spells out exactly what is included — higher tiers add extras like a spa bath or a daily walk, so there are no surprise charges.

Which location is right for my dog?

While both locations suit high-energy, playful dogs, North Loop emphasizes group play, and Lakeville is built for boarding and can better handle senior dogs and those needing one-on-one care.

What vaccinations are required?

Rabies (1 year or 3 year), Distemper Combo, and Bordetella. Upload proof of vaccination (preferred), or bring it at drop-off.

Barks and Rec is the perfect place for your pup if you are in need of a kennel! We reached out a few days before we needed to kennel our dogs and they were more than happy to look and see if they had space. The drop off process was super easy. While we were gone they sent pictures of our dogs and the activities they were doing. When we picked our dogs up they were happy to see us and were tired from all their fun!
